Skye Wynter is the daughter of Duke Wynter, the person closest to the King. Once she reached of marriageable age, men flock her and her beauty, showering her with jewels and books, hoping to gain her favour. However, Skye doesn’t wish to marry. She wishes to study magic and become an Imperial Knight. All of those plans change however when a witch curses the kingdom so that plague can run rampant. Reluctant, Skye accepts and marries the skilled mage who goes by the name Jayce Ember. As promised, he heals the land of plague and decides to settle down with his new wife.
