Chapter IV: Brother Trouble

"Good morning, Sis!" I heard Priam’s annoying voice early in the morning "Priam! Would you please, stop?" I said and got up from my bed "Breakfast is ready, Sis. We’ll be going to Bicol today!" he happily said and showed me his plane ticket "Public plane?" I asked myself and he smiled "Yes! Yes! Yes! Mom said that we should try riding a public plane." Priam said and smiled "Whatever. You can go out now, Priam." I said he quickly went out before shutting my bedroom door closed The clock on my wall showed that it was already seven in the morning that’s why I went inside the bathroom to take a shower. I went to the sink to brush my teeth when I saw my face on the mirror. "Priam!" I shouted with all my energy because of what I saw in the mirror He must have drawn this entire thing on my face while I was sleeping. I can clearly see a very thick mustache, countless of drawn whiskers and some line on my forehead. He’s going to pay for this. Can you believe it? I stayed inside the bathroom for an hour because it took me thirty minutes to remove just the mustache! Priam is going to hell for this. After I successfully removed all the drawings, I took bath. I changed from my pajamas to a denim blouse and denim jeans. I also paired it with a white converse. I went out my room and walked my way to the dining room. When I saw Priam I ran to him and pinched his ears. "Ouch! Sis, let go of me!" he shouted and jolted off his seat to hide behind Mom "What is wrong, Lauren? Why would you do that to your brother?" Mom asked and looked at me "You see this Mom? He did it!" I said and showed Mom my picture when I was still in the bathroom with all those drawings "Priam, why would you do that?" Mom asked and Priam moved away from Mom "Sorry, I just wanted to tease you." "Fine. I forgive you, but don’t do it again next time, okay?" I said and he smiled "Okay, Sis. I love you." he said and hugged me back "I love you too, Priam" I said and hugged him even tighter "Let’s get ready? It’s our first time in a public plane" Mom interrupted and we both run to our rooms to pack our things "Mom! Sis! Let’s go!"Priam happily said once we got out from the plane Priam was so noisy inside that I had to put on some headphones on full volume! He was moving around saying, ’Wow! Look at those things Sis’. He was such an ignorant. I can still remember that he asked, ’Are we there yet?’ for ten times! He was purely excited to visit our hometown. "Your brother is very excited. Hey! Priam! There’s our car!" Mom shouted because Priam was going the wrong way It took us ten minutes to arrive to our ancestral house and here we are. Welcome to Casa Villegas. The gate opened and the driver drove the car inside. Many trees welcomed us. It was still the same Casa Villegas I have known. My grandparents live here. This was an ancestral land for the Villegas. Before reaching the mansion inside the Casa Villegas you need to drive in a half kilometer road surrounded with flowers, grass, trees and etc. After that is the river. It was a small natural river that flows freely. We drove over the bridge and voila! The mansion. It was the usual ancestral kind of house. It has an ancient design preserved for many years. Mom went out and fresh wind welcomed her. I also went out and I inhaled the fresh air. The guard opened the doors too wide open that I saw all the things inside. I went inside and went down the stairs. The old and historic paintings of our ancestors are still here. We Villegas are very fond of an arts and craft that is why we treasure our art works so much. I looked up and saw three lanterns like chandeliers. It is very beautiful. I turned my gaze to my left side and I saw the living room. It has three blue sofas around a glass center table. In front of that is a flat screen TV. On the right side is the dining area. It has twenty two chairs and a long table. It is still the same dining area I know. Next to the dining area is the kitchen. It has everything. It had things from cooking tools, ingredients and many more. You’ll have fun cooking in here. I went to the grand staircase next to the living room. It is surrounded with glass to prevent someone from falling here. I went up and I saw the library. Our very own library. It still has thousands of books I read. We also love reading books. Except for Priam, that’s it. Then, the rest of the spaces here in the second floor are the guest rooms. I went to the third floor and saw our room. By the way, there is an elevator here. My grandparents are very old that my grandmother doesn’t like going down by stairs. I went to the room that has a pink door. I opened it and I saw my room. The same interior design. The same arrangement. Everything is the same as it is when I left the manor. "Sis?" "What?" I asked him when I went outside my room "Grammy and Gramps wants to see us. We’ll tour around the Casa later. Get ready." he said and I just nodded I wore ripped jeans, shirt and a black hoodie. Even though the sun was still up, it was still very cold in here. It is very windy indeed. I partnered my outfit with white converse shoes. I pressed the first floor where Mom, Priam, Grammy and Gramps were. When I went out the elevator Grammy approached me. Her name is Lourdes Jean Villegas. "Grammy!" I happily called her and she hugged me After Grammy is Gramps. I hugged him so tight because I missed him so much. His name is, Henry Pietro Villegas. "Piper dear, glad you, Paula and Priam could make it." "I’m glad too, Gramps." "Let’s go." they all said and we went outside
