Chapter XI: Carl’s Constellation (Part 1)

I am currently walking on the school grounds where various booths are standing. Today was the start of the 93rd Christmas celebration here in the academy. Last day, we inspected the booths that will take part in the celebration. Together with the executive committee and the other members of the student council, we successfully ended the inspection yesterday. Almost all of the academy grounds were surrounded with booths. Many students were also scattered around probably trying out every booth there is. I went to the benches near the marriage booth to rest because my feet felt numb from all the walking. When my gaze landed on the marriage booth, my brows creased. Samina was wearing a white gown. She was standing there giggling with a guy. What? Why was she with Franco Aguirre in a marriage booth? Whenever I looked at him before he will always wink at me. I never really like how that Franco acted around. He was a loyal friend to Carl which makes it all worse. I just let them have a fake marriage in the marriage booth and minded my own business. Samina wasn’t a kid anymore. She probably knows what she was doing. I was busy reading my book when I felt someone sat beside me. I looked at him and recognized who he was. Shun Garcia was that kind of guy who never really likes talking that much. He was the most silent person I know that ever existed. He was just sitting there so I didn’t mind him. He was looking at students like what I was doing a while ago. I just ignored him and went back on reading my book. I was about to flip the last page of my book when he talked. "Students always make a fuss about these, right?" I heard him asked But because I don’t want to humiliate myself in front of him I didn’t answer. What if he’s talking to someone else? "Why do they like these kinds of events? It’s too tiresome and boring. So plain and simple. "he said again "Are you talking to me?" I asked because I couldn’t focus on the book I was reading a while ago "Can you see anyone besides us here?" he asked which I took as a sarcastic remark I just stared at him and secretly rolled my eyes before closing my book. He was here mumbling nonsense beside me that’s why reading wasn’t part of the option to do. "Where are you going?" "Why are you asking?" I shot back and he just shrugged as an answer He stood up right after that shrug and waved his hands while walking away. I couldn’t understand his way of communication. It was too weird for me. But the word weird goes well with him. I decided to tour around and buy food because I was starving after reading that much. My eyes then got glued on a cute cupcake booth. I examined the cupcake and adored it like forever. I wasn’t planning on buying it when someone interrupted. "I’ll buy it for you." someone said and I saw a guy on the counter holding the cupcake Then, he turned his head to my direction and smiled. Oh. It’s James Hans Buenavista. He was that playboy kind of guy. Not to mention that he was also friends with Carl. He is very known as a school heartthrob here in the academy. I idolized him before for being so kind and caring for everyone but, that was before I knew what he always do after helping out girls. He wasn’t even half as good looking but almost all the girls badly wanted to be his girlfriend. I was pulled back from my thoughts when I saw him in front of me. He gave me the cupcake and went out the store. Okay? What will I do with this cupcake? I’m not a fan of sweets. I sighed and went out with the cupcake still on my hand.
