Episode 57
I jumped back startled from his deep voice that echoed near my ear. I quickly turned around and there he stood in all his glory.
"I... I-"
He was glaring at the professor behind me.
"What did I tell you, White? You disobeyed me and even talked against me behind my back." He said dangerously calm. He didn’t even look at me while talking. That made me even more nervous.
"I told you didn’t I? I just can’t stay away."
"He wanted you to stay away from me?" Nathan asked bemused.
"Yes. And I’m not gonna do that. We’re friends." Nathan nodded. Stefano on the other hand scoffed.
"Don’t be stubborn, White. How could you hang out with a man who’s in love with you when you have me?" I don’t know why he’s being calm. He was always growling or mad at something. This is something that he should be furious about. I’m still nervous on what he’s gonna do. I mean this man just beat Nathan. A former soldier.
He glared at Nathan. "Stay away from her or I’ll more than just beat you."
"You know you don’t scare me. You can’t really decide for Avery what she should do. That’s up for her if she still wants to hang out with me or not."
Okay now he’s furious. He suddenly lunged for Nathan. I immediately stop him. I blocked Nathan from his view. Nathan just stood there calm and collected. He’s really level headed and I always admire that trait. Nathan and I are probably the two beings who’s not scared of him.
"Stop! We’re at the campus for gods sake. You can’t hit a teacher." I exclaimed, careful not to raise my voice and gain attention.
"I’ll fucking strangle him." He retorted. I groaned in frustration.
"You’re such a ****." His blazing eyes looked at me.
"Oh you mean I’m an asshole with an attitude reeking of shit." He growled.
"That’s a fact. You know I’m not holding back with my words whether or not you’re there." I exclaimed. I then grabbed his arm and dragged him away. He didn’t protest but he just grunted. He allowed me to drag him anyway.
"Shut the **** up, will you? Wait-" I stopped and turned towards Nathan. I ran towards him and hugged him. He stiffened, surprised at my gesture.
"Thank you." I said. "Thank you for the gift. I love it." I noticed Stefano growled from behind. I rolled my eyes.
"Avery, get back here!"
I sighed and pulled away. I saw Nathan smile. "Good luck with him though." He said lowly not letting Stefano hear him.
I chuckled. "Yes, thank you." I grinned ear to ear happy that we stayed as friends. Nathan sure is a perfect human being and I wish for him a huge amount of happiness.
I looked behind seeing lover boy with a scowl on his face. Now he showed how furious he is. I shook my head and face Nathan again. "I gotta go before he does something crazy again." He nodded with a smile.
I turned around and walked towards Stefano. I noticed him opening his mouth probably to yell at me again. I took his hand and intertwined it with mine. His mouth went closed. We walked towards his car just near the front gate. He opened the door of the passenger seat and let me in. As soon as he went in, his scowling face went back.
"I think you need some serious punishment, White-" I grabbed the collar of his suit and kissed him. He responded with equal fervour. His hand slid towards my neck. His thumb on my cheek. Feeling excited and hungry, his tongue dived in the insides of my mouth meeting my tongue. Our tongues fought, not for dominance, but for the desire we bought have. It was overwhelming. I could feel him keep moving forward towards me, trying to be impossibly closer but the situation didn’t really allow us. I moaned melting to his kiss, to his touch. He groaned sensing my feelings while feeling exactly the same way. Both of our breaths lost deciding to pull away.
"Let’s go to my apartment." He said as he our forehead leaned against each other. His hands on my cheeks caressing it. We were panting, catching our breaths.
"You’re a bad boy, Ranallo. You haven’t been going home to your mansion. Angela will be worried for you." My voice soft and raspy through pants.
"Are you saying we should **** in my room at the mansion?" I pulled back while sending him glare.
"What the **** are you saying?" I punch his arm. He tsked.
"I don’t appreciate you hitting me, White." He started the engine of his car and started to drive.
"Oh because I’m actually stronger than you that’s why it hurts?" I said arrogantly with a smirk.
"You know just because you were a top student in military school doesn’t mean you’re stronger than a man like myself." I snorted.
"Why don’t we try, huh?"
"Yes, when we get to my apartment and **** each others’ brains out. We’ll fight whoever’s on top and then ride all the way." I hit his arm again. This time slapped it with an open palm.
"What is wrong with you? I didn’t know you to be so crude." He even said it with his usual serious face. I honestly thought this man was straight laced.
"Avery, stop that." I could sense he wasn’t really serious with his warning. His tone was different. There was a hint of playfulness and not the common rough tone he used on me when he’s annoyed.
"I’ll be flying to Italy again next week." My eyebrow raised questioningly.
"And?"
"I’ll probably be there for 3 or 4 weeks. I’ll bring your birthday present when I come back."
I frowned. "You really don’t have to."
"Like I would listen to you."
I opened my mouth to talk back but I remembered what I did just a moment ago. I asked a different question instead. "Is your father going to be with you?"
"No. I’m going to take care of the business there for the mean time. My parents are going to England at that time." I nodded.
"I hope you don’t miss me." I snorted.
"I’m sure I won’t miss you, Ranallo. I’m so used to you always travelling abroad. Do you even know how happy I am whenever you’re not here? I do a leprechaun dance. That’s how happy I am." I said jokingly. Although that was quite true when I still work for him.
Stefano gritted his teeth. "Just you watch, White. When we get home, you’ll be begging for mercy when I **** you."
I frowned. Not a long time ago, I blushed whenever he talks dirty. And now I realized how Stefano could be so explicit... towards me. Just towards me only. He was so serious and refined whenever he’s with anybody.
"Can we just look for something to eat? I’m hungry."
"What do you feel like eating?"
"Something that doesn’t cost my whole salary when I was still working for you. Something fast food." I looked at him while thinking of where to eat. I wasn’t really craving for a specific food but I’m really hungry. He was so focused on driving that he didn’t seem to care that I’m deciding where to go.
"You mean at the Grind House you always go?"
"No, let’s pass on that for... now." I trailed at my thoughts when I suddenly remember something. "Shit!"
"What? Is there something wrong?" He asked worriedly.
"I was supposed to go there and visit Jenna. I haven’t talked to them since Saturday."
"Do you want to go there?" He looked at me for a moment and shift back to the front view.
"Okay. But I don’t think you’re the type to go there anyway. You’d probably prefer that expensive Italian restaurant where you hold your meetings."
"Are you insulting me right now?" Clearly he was annoyed by my comment.
"Actually, it was a fact." I chuckled.
"I’ll go wherever you go."
He stopped the car as the light turned red.
I leaned towards him and kissed his cheek.
"I bet you will." I smiled. He then faced me. "Ashton would be laughing his *** off if he finds out about this." He stared at me for a moment before dropping a bomb.
"Forget that cafe. I think my apartment sounds more promising." I frowned.
"I’ll cook for you." He kept staring at my lips.
"You really are insatiable, aren’t you?" I said almost in a whisper. He then kissed me. A sweet passionate kiss. I can’t help but respond. This man can’t seem to keep his hands off me. I somehow wonder if he’s like this to his previous girlfriends. Although they say he’s not interested in women, I’m pretty sure he’s still had lovers in the past.
"Why me?" I asked when we pulled away.
"I don’t know, Avery. You tell me. Did you seduce me?" He looked again to the front waiting for the green light.
"Hey, we both know you did that."
"Please. As if we’re not on the same boat."
"Oh we are on the same boat just that you fell first." He looked at me for a moment and looked back at the road again. He sighed.
"I really don’t know. One day I just woke up thinking about you. Wanting you. I can’t really say you’re different. I never really looked at women the same way I look at you."
I looked at him in agape. I thought he would be evasive about this topic. He sure is full of surprises. When I thought he was mister prim and proper, it turns out he was so crude. And when I thought he was someone who never talks about his feelings, here he was professing his feelings to me so openly. He always have this aloof look as if he doesn’t care about anything but his self and his business. And now he acts like I’m the center of his universe. Scratch that- I’m he’s universe.
"You’re right. Your apartment seems more promising." He smirked. It was faint but he smirked. For someone who doesn’t express happiness, he failed to hide it.
I looked away, the street outside now looked interesting. My elbow rested on the window of the car, my chin rested on my palm as I hid my smile.
The light turned green and he sped off.
