Chapter 50: Shopping with Mom

Yu Jinli had no idea that he had made a slip of the tongue. Nor was he aware of what was said upstairs between the mother and son. At the moment, he was still immersed in the joy and pride of getting Power of Faith in today’s live stream. It never occurred to him that he would get so much Power of Faith through live streaming. Even though the treatment for golden coattail would cost him some spirit power, he would get it back soon. With a radiant smile, Yu Jinli greeted Qiao Mulan and Jiang Zhentao as usual. Looking at Yu Jinli who was adorable and obedient, Qiao Mulan made up her mind to keep him in the family. She was determined to have him as her son-in-law. She was confident that her son would fall in love with little chestnut as long as he spent more time with him. “Little chestnut, have some of this. Chef Zheng has created this dimsum recently. It’s delicious.” Qiao Mulan picked food for Yu Jinli more enthusiastically than usual not only because she liked him but also for his devotion to the family. After breakfast, he was ready to go upstairs to give Jiang Mosheng his treatment when he was stopped by Qiao Mulan. “Little chestnut, you... where are you going?” asked Qiao Mulan. “I’ going to give Ah Sheng his treatment,” said Yu Jinli as a matter of fact. Guilt appeared on Qiao Mulan’s face. She said: “Little chestnut, you’ve been here for some time and I haven’t taken you out shopping. Now that I don’t have any work today, how about we go shopping together?” With his head tilted, Yu Jinli couldn’t think of anything he didn’t have yet. In fact, since he was here, Qiao Mulan had almost everything prepared for him. He didn’t actually need anything. However, when he met her expectant eyes, he thought mom might just need someone to keep her company while doing some shopping. His sect-brother once said that girls loved shopping, especially with good company. Yu Jinli was bad at rejecting girls, especially mom, who he liked, so he agreed happily which was a huge relief to Qiao Mulan.
