"I’m fi-fine " chap 67!!!

..teacher’s forehead formed a crease. She then cleared her throat and read it out. " Miss Esther is asked to go to the office with her bag and books!". Esther didn’t expect her name to be called out, but she responded it with a "Yes mam" and grabbed her bag after putting her books back inside the bag. She didn’t knew what was waiting for her there in office. She bowed to the teacher to which the teacher scowled and Esther went with the male staff. He guided her to the office. This office was exclusively for Zack or Edwin if they decide to spend their time in school. There she saw Edwin standing there with a smile on his face. A strand of his neatly combed hair fell on his forehead. His blue eyes which was similar to her battering slowly. Each time his eyes lashes were picked up, his blue orbs were on display. But from Esther’s perspective his smile looked somewhat wicked. She jolted when the male staff closed the door behind her. She don’t know how to react and her heart started thumping against her chest. Her face pale. He came towards her which made her step backward. Seeing this reaction from her he immediately stopped and his face frowned. "Don’t worry , I won’t do anything!!" But still she couldn’t believe his entire words wholeheartedly. He shook his head with a smile and then turned to take a cover which was placed on the office table." It’s a dress inside this cover. You may fall ill again, so better get changed into this!" Edwin said. But Esther shook her head and denied " no sir... I’m fi-fine.." Seeing her visibly trembling Edwin’s heart ached. He didn’t knew he was like a monster to her. As she recieved such an action from Zackary. "Don’t you wanna repay Zack ? Don’t you want to study well and get a good job?" Edwin asked and Esther nodded her head twice ,her face looking down. Edwin smiled seeing her small gesture. He ruffled her head and lowered upto her head. "So you have to be healthy! You should look after yourself!" Esther said in a soothing voice as he was explaining things to a small kid. Esther then silently went to the other room attached to the office and changed her wet dress. When she returned back she saw a new bag instead of her drenched one. The books too were replaced. Esther ran to it and slided her fingers along with the books and bag. She also saw a note. "Take this new bag and books with you.. Don’t think it as a debt. It’s our responsibility to give you the new one’s! Hope we will meet again! And yes don’t look for the old books and bag as it’s already thrown away. Take care ❤️" Esther turned the note hoping to see his name but unfortunately she couldn’t. She had lots of questions in her head. Now she was sure that he wasn’t her nemesis but someone kind to her. But still she wanted to know the entire story behind Zack and Edwin. Author: lisa xxx
