She was in her top and pencil skirt. She had a smile fixed on her lips. Esther stood up seeing her.
"Umm... Esther ...have you finished your works?" She asked casually. Esther blinked for a few times and then nodded her head.
She was actually dumbfounded seeing her acting all good to her.
" Um...then can you please help me with a work. I know everyone left the company already but still I have this to be made. You know this files contains lot of relevant and irrelevant information and I don’t have much time. Today my childhood friend is having her baby shower and she want me there . But I can’t because of this work....can you please do this for me??? Pretty please!" Helen asked.
Esther knew she would have something behind her nice talk and now she got it. She just want to have her help. Esther smiled and said " okay ... I’ll do it ...but the taxi has been waiting..!" Esther said.
"Don’t worry, I’ll take it! And I’ll arrange another taxi for you!" Helen said and Esther agreed on her suggestion.
Helen then walked away.
By the time Esther finished the work. It had already been 18:45. She sighed. And packed her bag again. She stepped out and entered the elevator. The elevator went down and stopped on each floor. From the 8 floor a man got inside.
He had a charming smile on his face. Seeing his smile Esther returned hers to him. "Hello,"
"Hai!" Esther replied.
" Why haven’t you left?!" Esther asked him.
"I had work pending!" He said.
He shoved his hand towards her and she took it. "my name is Alfred! and I already know yours, Esther!"
The elevator made a ding sound and both of them exited the elevator. " Really? Yeah I too remember seeing you somewhere! But don’t remember where it was, your face is familiar!" Esther replied.
"Okay so do you have car?" He asked and Esther shook her head "nope... My friend had arranged a taxi for me ...! It would have been here by now!" Esther replied.
"Okay then, take care bye!" He said and walked to were the vehicles were parked. But I saw no taxi. Esther waited for 10 more minutes but there was no sign of taxi. By then Esther saw a car stopped in front of her.
"Looks like the taxi won’t come...May be your friend forgot to arrange it for you...*sigh* hop into my car and I’ll drop you..!" Alfred said and Esther hesitated. "No need I’ll go in another taxi!"
"If I’m not able to drop my colleague in her housenwhat kind of colleague am I ? Don’t worry...hop in !" He said and Esther nodded. Moreover he didn’t looked like someone who could not be trusted. She got inside. She told him the route to her house. But then saw him taking another route. " Let’s have something and then we can go back to your house...
