I overreacted

Episode-240 I overreacted **   Serene’s POV:**     Sister-in-law?... I turned to Alexis as he said this, he was pocketing his hands and smirked. I noticed Aaron was laughing and Evelyn was laughing too.. they both shared a clap… and laughed more… And I looked at them like a dumb idiot… I looked at the bride and asked, “you are his sister-in-law” I didn’t knew about this.    The bride said, “I am Celeste.. and I am Prince Ernest’s wife.. not Alexis’s…” I gulped, I noticed there is Queen and a man standing with her… the man has tattoos on his neck and a women beside him covering her mouth as she saw my action.    Celeste said, “he is my father Mr. Turner and My mom Martha… and you know the Queen I assume..” I looked at them and then at Alexis… I slapped Alexis twice in front of his mother….. I covered my mouth on my embarrassment and looked at Evelyn… she tricked me..  I said, “Eve!... you tricked me..” Alexis looked at Evelyn narrowing his eyes, and Evelyn said, “I said bride.. I neither said Ernest’s bride or Alexis bride…. And it’s not my fault that brother didn’t announce about getting married.” She chuckled with Aaron..   Queen walks to me and I immediately said, “I am sorry… your highness..”  Queen pressed her lips together hiding her smile, and I feel like an idiot, she said, “well… my Alexis is naughty since childhood but… I am sure he won’t cheat on his fiancé… I never hit my Alexis… I request not to do it, and I am not angry on you because it’s Evelyn’s fault to joke with you… but I think the joke was funny…” I heard Celeste’s dad chuckled.   He said, “Second Prince’s fiancé is feasty…” I am embarrassed. Celeste said, “dad.. don’t say that… she already sorry…”       Queen pats my cheek with a smile, she said, “still silly and cute… as if you are a child…” I said to her, “I am sorry, Queen..” she chuckled.   I turned to Celeste and said, “I am sorry, Mrs. Celeste Gray… I am sorry, I interrupted your wedding dress selection.. you look beautiful…” I noticed Alexis was looking at me with a grin, he will do something… I am scared.. and embarrassed..    Alexis pulled my arm and said, “we need to go mom.. bye..” he pulled me out of the boutique… he opened the door of car and made me sit, and went to the driving seat, he looks angry.     He was driving silently, and I looked out of the window, soon he stopped in front of the a house, and pulled me out of the car, he took me in and said, “sit.. what you want coffee or tea?...”   I stood there looking down, I shouldn’t have over reacted.. I must be crazy, I am like this, always overreacting and acting without thinking.    He said, “by the way, I live here with Aaron… so don’t go to the left side of the house, he is possessive about his stuff, you can look around the other area… I will bring coffee..”    I saw him making coffee, I am so nervous and guilty, I made a joke in front everyone of myself and even slapped him. I noticed the fingerprint on his left cheek.. I slapped him hard.     I was sitting on the sofa when he passed me coffee, I said, “I… I am sorry… I overreacted..” he chuckled.   He said, “this is the first time someone slapped me… I was so angry… but it’s ok… I am pleased to see you here, and you were jealous… you still love me..”   I said, “I don’t…. (looks down) maybe I do love you”   Alexis grabbed my face and made me look at him, he said, “but remember… I won’t cheat on you… I am really mad at the fact you thought of me like that…”   I pressed my lips, he is right… I always think wrong about him… he was not in contact so I thought he might be cheating, not that he is busy…. I am so crazy,  we are fighting I am thinking in wrong way.    Alexis sat back and said, “I was working in office in place of brother, he was injured… so I was not near you… but I am glad that you came here to find me…”   I said, “I…. I am sorry…” he smiled at me as he sipped his coffee. I said, “what will Mrs. Celeste think about me? and your mother.. that I am fool…” Alexis chuckled..  I whined, “don’t laugh… Alexis.. please… I messed up..” I covered my face with both hands and I am worried about myself… I destroyed my own image…    I felt Alexis sitting close to me, hugging me, he said, “Serene.. you know mom…. she won’t mind… she gave you clean chit already…. And about sis-in-law… she is nice and she is similar to mom, so she won’t mind too… and I give you an idea.. sis-in-law don’t have many friends, one friend to be exact… so you can be a bridesmaid.... there are only two you and Daisy.. Evelyn is going to stand by the side of my family…”   I just looked at him. but will this fix my image.    Alexis pulled me close to him and kissed my lips, I closed my eyes as I remember this feeling and being in his arms again… this feels nice… but I remember what dad said to me about him…  I moved back, I saw him being disappointed. I said, “I… I should go…” Alexis grabbed my hand and said, “Serene….. can’t we go back to loving each other… because I never stopped loving you… I can never stop it… the reason why you are here is to see me, you missed me… you got jealous because you loved me… you care about your image in front of my family is because you love me… can’t we say that once… I did nothing wrong to you….”   I turned to him and said, “Actually… I am on a trip so, I need to reach my hotel or my friends will worry… I can’t stay even when I want too…”   He looked at me blinking… he asked, “you mean.. you want to stay…” I kissed his lips and said, “think yourself…” I need to go… I rushed out of the house as soon as I can, my heart is racing.. after this confusion, I think he really didn’t did anything bad to me… just this engagement but he also kept it all up to me..   Maybe dad is right but Alexis is not wrong….   I was out of the house, when I heard the door open again, Alexis said, “I will drop you… sit in the car..” he smiled at me. he opened the car door and I got in.     We were driving when he said, “there are lot of beautiful places.. so make sure to have fun in snow, because in your country it doesn’t snow… and call me… if you have problem anywhere give me a call…” I nodded… I looked at Alexis and then turned out of the window… am I really go to forgive him?... will dad agree?...
