Episode 9

   Episode- 9    Grandpa smiled and said, “Lie.”  I looked at him and he was smiling at me,,, he didn’t looked angry. I said again, “It’s not a lie.”    He said with a same face, “Then what are cut marks doing on your hands.”   I looked at my hand…. And shit the sleeves are slightly folded and the mark is showing just a little…. I fixed my sleeves in panic and said, “It’s nothing.”       He just smiled at me while shaking his head. I asked with all courage in my body, “Aren’t you angry?”    He said, “Yes I am very angry but more upset,,,, that what made you hurt yourself like that.”    I looked at him and then down because I have no answer. He spoke again, “Is it the family,,, your work or something else?”      I was shocked with his words, how does he know when we barely see each other. I sad, “It’s really nothing grandfather.”   He gave a deep sigh and I knew I made another person disappointed in me. He said, “You are just like my mother,,, so hard to talk… you even look like her.” He smiled.    I asked seeing him smile, “Aren’t you ashamed of me?”    He shakes his head with a gentle smile telling me everything thing is fine. He said, “How can I be ashamed of my grandchild,,,, who is mirror image of my mother.... you both are pretty much the same, hairs and eyes… the will to go throw all of it alone even though it is killing you…. that is pretty familiar to me…… but one thing that is different in you is that……. You don’t fight back… she was a great women,,, she was strong she raised us alone… I want you to learn something that I learnt from her…. you should know to fight if anything wrong happening to you… even though they are your family.”    I was surprised and feeling that at least one of them care. I asked, “What if they hate me?”    Grandpa said, “Is there any change in situation?” I thought for a moment,, sure,,,  they still dislike me and what is the difference if they hate me in future. I walked out of study and walked into the garden.     I sat on the edge of the huge fountain and looked at myself in the water. I was wondering did grandpa said anything wrong… no he didn’t… maybe I should try to be a little more strong,,, for myself.     I was immersed in my thoughts but I heard a familiar male voice, he said, “You look really sad after hearing your sister marrying your crush.”    I know it is Edwin,,, I looked at him and he had that look on his face that told me he dislikes me. I am not going to be weak… I will try to be strong this time he just can’t come and insult me around.   I said while looking at him with a smile, “Don’t look to high of yourself Mr. Gray. I am not interested in used stuff like you.”
