“Did you gain courage?”

Episode- 38 “Did you gain courage?”  Edwin’s POV:         I was about have some fun with Emma but Alisa came and ruin my mood,,, I am standing by the window and smoking my anger away. I heard a knock on my door and Emma came in.   I turned to her and she really looked angry, maybe because I didn’t satisfy her. She said with anger, “Edwin,,, let her go.”    I asked in confusion, “Who?”    Emma said, “Alisa,,, she is too good and innocent for you… I never thought you will do something like this to pitiful girl like her.” this is the first time Emma taking someone’s side against me.   I said, “I will never let her go…. That’s my final decision… she will be my wife till she dies.” Emma gave deep sigh and said, “I know I can’t change your mind but please don’t hurt her… she is too fragile…. I am leaving. I won’t stay for dinner.” Emma left, I sat on my bed and started working,,, I don’t care what people say I am not letting her go….      Alisa’s PO**V:**     After Emma left, I really thought for a moment, maybe I can get out of this situation,,, he has many women so for him letting me go won’t be hard, right?..... I just need to make him agree…. I can try that for my freedom.   I stood in front of his room for like 15 minutes,,, should I knock or not… getting in could be dangerous but I have to go,,, I the knock the door and I heard him saying come in.   I opened the door, I could see he was surprised, he put his laptop aside and looked at me, I said stuttering, “I-I… need to talk.” He was observing me for a while, then he nodded and said, “Come in”   He walked to the chair on the either side of the huge room,,, I walked in and stood in front of him, he tapped the table and I looked at him not understanding what he is saying,,,, then he signaled to the chair,,, maybe he said take a seat,,,, gosh he is weird.,,, I hope I survive…   He was observing me with his stone cold gaze and I tried to ignore it as much as I can,,, I didn’t said anything… then I heard him saying, “Are you here to waste my time?”    I shake my head in ‘no’…. then he said, “Speak.”   I took a deep breath and said, “I don’t know why Ron asked you to marry me…. but we both know we are not good for each other… I know you hate me and I don’t have any feelings for you…… we can’t stand each other”    He interrupted, “What are you trying to say?.... make it clear.”  I gulped as my throat was dry, I said, “Let’s get divorce.” He looked at me for a while,,,, I don’t know why but I said again, “I want divorce.” This time I was more confident.    The room felt silent for few minutes… Edwin walked away and opened a drawer… and got a cigarette and lighted it up and started smoking it…. I felt the atmosphere is really tensed… he came back to me and pulled me up and made me sit on the edge of the bed… every inch of my body is trembling after seeing this… I didn’t see any kind of emotions on his face.   Edwin sat beside me but I kept my face in different directions… he blow the smoke and I can smell it… I saw him keeping the cigarette in ash tray.    He moved close to me,,, I could feel him looking at me. He said,  “Did you gain courage in this week without me?.... that’s not a good thing.”
