~Alessandro’s POV~ I went inside the other room assigned for other doctors and students who wants to watch the surgery. The room is separated by a glass from the operating room. From here I can see Marylin perform surgery. She is nervous from what I can see. She looked up and our eyes met. I nodded towards her. Afterwards, I turned towards Mr. Brown and nodded towards him too. Dr. Brown returned my gesture and turned towards Megan to give her instructions. Megan is a middle-aged lady and an anesthetist. She is good at it. ( I’ll skip the whole procedure as I’m not a doctor and I don’t know what goes inside the operating room. Please don’t feel offensive, I really respect a lot to the profession of Doctor. ) Megan turned toward Nick and gave him anesthetic to numb his pain. After some time the anesthetic started to react with the blood. After confirming anesthetic is working and don’t have a negative reaction on him. Dr. Brown nodded to start the surgery. He insisted to use Craniotomy technique so during preparation his head is shaved. After that MRI is performed and Dr. Brown marked the area he is going to cut open. They started the surgery and at first, Marylin was nervous but after a few minutes, she calmed down and did exactly how I’ve taught her last night. After 4 agonizing hours, the surgery ended and it was successful. Everyone congratulated each other. Marylin turned towards my direction with a big smile on her face. And then she practically dashed out of the operating room. I went out and towards my office where I assume, she is going. I was proved right when I opened my door and was attacked. She flung herself towards me and I caught her so that she won’t fall. I kicked the door shut with my foot and carry her towards my desk. She is clinging to me like a koala with her hands around my neck and legs around my waist. I put her on the desk and she looked up in my eyes with a big smile adorning her face. I can’t help but think how beautiful she looks with a smile. "I did it." She said grinning from ear to ear. I removed some hairs behind her ears and caressed her cheeks. "You did." I replied, feeling proud of her. "It’s all because of you. I don’t know what I would have done if you didn’t have practiced with me last night." She said, her eyes looking up at me in adoration, respect and something else that has my heart skip a beat.
