Party

    Episode- 69 ‘Party’ **    Alisa’s POV:**                                 I was wearing a simple black dress, it was neat but simple… yes I purposely had this on so I will caught less attention… I was drying my hairs… I hope the party goes well and I don’t mess up anything.     I heard a knock on the door, I opened it and saw Ruth standing in a silver dress her hair were perfectly done… she looked amazing , more than perfect. She sigh and said, “I knew it… mom was right you were going wear something like this…. but today I am in charge of dressing you.” she pulled and started walking to her room.    We were in her room, she had few bags of clothes all from the top stylist of the city… she searched for few bags and gave me two of them. she said with a chuckle, “I can’t believe… I am babysitting my elder sister.”    I was offended, I replied, “You never treated me as your sister.” She was frozen for a moment then I heard her again, “Whatever…. Wear this dress and hills… rest of things leave it to me. if you don’t want then  I will call mom.”       This time I said, “Whatever….” I walked in her wardrobe and changed. She gave me a shinny navy blue dress, it was fitting on the curves but still gave a elegant look, the dress was not reveling with long sleeves… in short it was beautiful and of my style… she got it according to my look… a smile appeared on my face, but I decided to hide it, the second bag had hills with shinny crystals all over it goes perfect with the dress.     I walked out and I saw her going through some jewelry. She gave me  long ear rings which were also matching with the dress and a delicate diamond necklace.      I put on the jewelry and said, “My ears will fall off any moment.” She chuckled.    Ruth said, “Don’t lose them,,, they are from grandpa. He came with me to select these, why will I spent my money on you… he told me everything else… sorry, if I hurt you… I just loved him and I did everything I can to have him… not knowing who he was.” But she still don’t know what else he can be…. Neither I know what he can be… I feel like I know a small part of this story… whatever.    Ruth said again, “But nothing will change between us… we will still be the same way  we use to be.” I nodded.    We arrived  at the party, this place is full of rich people, shinning clothes accessories and stuff… more like a fashion contest than a marriage anniversary… I was trying to stay out of people eyes as much as I can.     Grandpa and Mr. Rider greeted each other. They are both of same age and maybe good with each other. Mrs. Rider said, “Looks like both daughters are there… they are sweet and beautiful….” Ahh… this is awkward.     Soon everyone of the family was occupied with the crowd, Dad and grandpa with their  business  partners while Mom and Grandma with other ladies. Ruth was centre of attention of both men and young girls…. While I leaned on a pillar and sipped my drinks…. Few men tried to talk but I gave lame excuses. Because I still remember what happened to that man and me after we danced together on Tina’s sister’s wedding…. I don’t want to cause trouble, or Edwin will…. Stop… stop… don’t take his name.      Ruth walked to me and said, “Are you competing with the pillar?... who is more boring?” she is really something, I can’t blame her she took after mom.    I replied with a smile, “Not everyone is party animal like you…. anyways I believe in making money rather than spending like you.” but I am more savage than you little sister. She smirked. I added, “You know half of the dresses here come from my store…” She rolled her eyes.      She said, “Wasting life for earning money  when you can enjoy it… you are old soul in young body…” she is crossing the line, but she is forgiven. Because I saw her like this after a while, she is getting better from her heart broke.     I asked, “Should I punch that man, he is staring at you for long enough… pervert.” She laughed, then said, “Actually he knows I am out of his budget so he asked me to ask your number.” My eyes widen. Then she added, “But he is a assh**e, he is not getting in.” I chuckled.     The man started walking toward us and I panicked, but soon attention was driven by someone else.  Edwin Gray entered the part with his secretary Ken. He was wearing a grey custom made suit, he was stylish his hairs were perfectly styled and falling on his one eye to give his a sexy look, he was way better than any model, but there was a problem, his stone cold face. But women’s still grasped as he walked in.     His eyes fall on me and his face form a light smirk, but he kept walking to Mr. Ryder and his wife . I whispered, “Holy sh*t, why is he here.” I looked at Ruth was angry to see him, she said, “Maybe because he is the richest among these all… and we forgot that.”     I said, “I am going….. I can’t stay here.”     Ruth said, “Why are so weak hearted?... we will avoid him. it will be fine. We have dad and grandpa here nothing can go wrong.” Right? If everyone is here then nothing will go wrong. I can avoid him. I will.
