‘Thankful for yesterday’

Episode- 95 ‘Thankful for yesterday’    Alisa’s POV:         I woke up in the morning, and first thing I saw was Edwin sleeping near me, I have to say if it was not for him yesterday I would have been destroyed… but that doesn’t completely change my opinion about him, he is still the man who tortured me and imprisoned me, he is still the man who pointed gun on my grandpa, he is still the person who inked his name on me forcefully. I still hate him but I am thankful for what he did yesterday.     For the first time I was glad that someone was killed in front of me, I am thankful that Edwin killed that person… I felt like living in his arm yesterday. I wanted to stay with him because my heart felt like he was safest place for me that moment… but does that change the fact that I wanted to get away from him.     But I have to say he looks handsome and completely different person when he is sleeping, I wanted to touch his face but I stopped myself. I whispered knowing that he will not listen to me, “I… I am thankful you were there yesterday…. Thank you….. it felt like I can be safe in your arms, thank you for comforting me.”     The next moment he wrapped his hand around me and said with closed eyes, “If you are thankful then you would have slept a little more……. You are like a cock in a farmhouse.” His voice was husky, so was he awake the whole time, but did he just called me a ‘cock’. I want to punch him but he saved me yesterday… I got out of the bed pushing him away from me.    I got out of the bed and I was still in yesterdays outfit. Edwin sat on the bed ruffling his hairs, he said, “I got a boring wife,,,,,,,, bad luck.” He is saying like I am dying to marry him, I opened my mouth to  give him a answer but he said, “We will leave after breakfast with my parents get ready.”     Wait,… this room is neither his nor mine… are we in his parent’s house. I looked at myself, this dress is destroyed…. Ahh, why do I feel this pressure to look good, shit. Edwin walked to the wardrobe and pulled his clothes out of it……. this man has a ready wardrobe everywhere……. Super rich guy… what a waste of money, he walked to the door and turned to me saying, “Get ready, 20 minutes……. Be on time down stairs.” He banged the door before leaving, what I am supposed to do…….    I sat on the bed frustrated, the door opened I looked at it hoping it will be Edwin, but I saw his mom instead. She had a smile on her face, she said, “Good morning, are you good?” I nodded with a smile.    She sat beside me and hugged me. she said, “I am sorry for yesterday….you suffered.” I want to cry so hard, maybe I sobbed a little. Edwin’s mom said, “Anyways, let’s forget bad things…… the breakfast will be ready soon, I will arrange some clothes for you. get ready… ok?” I nodded, and replied, “Thank you”   She smiled and said, “You should cut these formalities…… let’s be like mom and daughter… I will be waiting.” She walked out of the  room and soon a maid came with a new outfit , I walked into the shower…… I have to say his mother  is so kind and sweet and I heard the same about his father… but why is Edwin like this… whom did he take after…     We had breakfast together, I have to say Edwin’s parents are really lovely funny couple. They are nice and warm hearted, but how can they have a son like Edwin….. he is hopeless, he didn’t speak a word the whole time, he arranged a car and Ken to drive me home while he went to the meeting, he forced me to take a leave today……. I am surely going bankrupt at this rate, but I can count on Tina.
