“just a date”

    Episode- 181 “just a date”    Alisa’s POV:           We were having dinner, Tina was back to normal… I checked the time and it’s getting late… I got up saying, “Sorry but I have to leave.”   Tina asked, “Why?... are you ok?”     I answered simply, “I am fine, it’s just I have flight tomorrow morning, I still have to pack my stuff.”    Vic asked as he gulped water, “Are you going somewhere?”    I said, “I have a business meeting in X city…  sorry but I have to leave… I had a good time.” I hugged Tina.. she warned, “you have spent time with us next time.. I won’t allow any reasons… please take care.”   I nodded, Vic got up and said, “Should I drop you.. it’s late.”     I replied as I showed him my keys, “I have car… I will drive myself.”    He still said, “I will follow you in mine to make sure you are fine till you reach your destination.” Tina agreed immediately… I had to allow them… but I do love them both for being caring for me… Vic never approached more than a friend… he knows I am not ready for it….    The next day,      The flight landed, and god that was a long flight… it’s past midnight, I was with my secretary Amanda and one other employ… we checked in hotel which was 30 min ride from the airport… it’s time to rest… I am super exhausted… and this city is really hot… I mean I will melt without AC…      Next morning,    I was ready, discussing some last minute detail with my staff.. it meeting has still 20 minutes to go, I was reading the details when Amanda told me, “Ma’am, Client are here.”     I greeted them as I stood up, A old man and another person looks like he would be in his late 20s walked in with their staff… this going to be a long meeting they really look hard to convince… but I have to do my best…    I am in my hotel room, the meeting ended very well… the old man seem to impressed but they still said they will tell their decision after some time..    I  am finally able to rest after this stressful day, I already booked flight for tomorrow as I want to return… I don’t like this hot and humid place… I got a call from grandpa and I answered with as I know he wants to know about the deal.   I said, “Hello… grandpa, don’t worry I think they will accept it before I board on tomorrow’s fight.”    Grandpa said, “I know you are capable… but I have called for something else… I hope you saw this young man in the meeting beside the client, he is his son… his name is Corner… I arranged a date for you both today.. go there.”    I got angry, so that’s why he send me here for the meeting, I can’t believe grandpa tricked me… I said, “I am not… you never tricked me like this grandpa.. I am very angry.” I sat on the bed frustrated    Grandpa said, “Just listen… I am not saying to marry him, just a date.. if you don’t like him it’s up to you… but at least go.. he seemed to be a nice boy.” I didn’t reply I just sat on the bed holding the phone tightly, Grandpa said, “Alisa, dear… please..”   I sigh and said, “Fine just this once…. But if you  did this again to me.. I will leave the company.” He agreed as well… I just have to deal with that guy for few hours and then Grandpa won’t ask me again about these things… just few hours… Grandpa sent me address of a café and time.. the old man has planned well, but I am also his granddaughter….  Let’s see…
