“the baby”

 **  Episode- 278 “the baby”** **   Author’s POV:**       Edwin’s mom panicked at first as she realized that the baby is about to come, she soon found her senses back and became the boss of the situation.. she said to Alisa, “Come on get up… seems like your water broke….” Alisa was in total fear and worry, she followed the instruction and soon found herself in the car… Edwin’s mom screamed at the driver, “fast.. hospital…” she was trying to create a strong support for Alisa.. Soon  Alisa was in the hospital, the best doctors of the hospital were assisting her. she was no normal person she was the Queen and the royal heir was about to be born, they took Alisa to the delivery room, while  Edwin’s mom was waiting for some kind of information, she was finding hard to wait…, she looked at the phone and then said to herself, “Well,, I need to tell Edwin now…f*ck that meeting,,, my grandchild is more important..” she dialed the number and Edwin answered after few rings..      Edwin’s mom immediately said, “Get to the hospital.. you wife is about to give birth…”  Edwin’s mom was almost screaming forgetting it was hospital..   On the other hand as Edwin heard this.. he stood up, his eyes went wide, he didn’t knew what he was feeling now.. he was questioning his ears was it true.. did he heard it right.. he wanted to be near her and first one to realize that baby was going to be born but he was in meeting and didn’t knew what to do.. some part of him was happy that Alisa had a solid support near her, his mother.. he was sure by now that he will panic., because he is panicking … he was in middle of a conference room, he looked around to process everything.. but all of this was in panic.. did he heard all right… yea it was true he was feeling his rapid heartbeat..  he needs to get out of this place an go near her.… the meeting didn’t started yet, and he didn’t care at this point, even if the meeting was on, he would have ran away to her, she needs him that’s what matter the most.. anyways he was there to check the preparations.. but the staff was looking Edwin and his weird shocked face.. yes.. he looked weird, not his normal self… he was cold plus panicked plus sweating… he was not this messed easily in his life.. but now he is like a total different person out of worry…   Ken who noticed all of this with other staff was confused and he was about ask something, but before he could ask anything Edwin just  turned to him and said in hurry, “I need to go… to the hospital… manage this..” Ken stood there with mouth wide open, he was processing everything.. seeing Edwin like this was rare and what Edwin said was hard to understand in this sudden shock of his behavior…  while Edwin practically ran to the back door of the office, he had to wait for few seconds in the life and he found it hard but someone how managed to get to the parking… he rushed like his life was at risk, may the person for whom he cared more was at risk..… he took the car, and drive it  off my himself leaving the driver behind.. the driver was puzzled too.. was it real, he saw Edwin driving for the first time,..  While Edwin was driving as fast as he can, he was overwhelmed by feeling that was hard to understand for himself ,he was happy, worried, excited at the same time.. he said in his mind, “Little dove be strong..” he was worried about Alisa and Excited to see the baby.. but he wished internally , he hoped that he wasn’t late….      As soon as Edwin reached the hospital, the people were looking at him as he walked in , it was rare to see the King like this.. like he was about to lose his soul, few people recognized him and called his name out or grasped.. nobody believed their eyes that they saw The king Arthur running in hurry through the hospital , but Edwin ignored them all, nothing matters to him, he just wants to see her, soon Edwin spotted his mom and he rushed  to his mom, His mom was worried about Alisa and see her son this panicked.. she internally thank herself that she was the one near Alisa not him or god knows what would have she done.... Edwin was sweating and he was breathing heavily due to all that run he went through…..  Edwin asked breathing heavily, “where is she?” , Edwin was squeezing his mom’s shoulder and practically shaking her,  his mom somehow managed to  say, “She is inside… I informed her parents and you dad and grandpa… don’t worry she is going to be fine” Edwin let go his mom and she sat like her body lost all energy.. god! she wanted to slap her son.. but he was saved because he was about to be  a dad and was a king and was in panic…    While Edwin nodded and said, “I will go inside…” he was about to walk inside but his mom grabbed his hand, he was confused and puzzled, he looked at his mother weirdly and his mother explained, “No.. she don’t want anyone you to see it.. she even asked me not to tell  you about this.. she wanted to you handle to meeting, but I called you, because I know you need to know.. but she also asked that you shouldn’t come in the devilry room during the birth, and I am going to do as she says so stand here before I hit you… I hope you understand … and stand here..” she was practically scolding so he would listen.. and she hopped this worked…    Edwin was getting frustrated, he wanted to  see her so desperately, he turned to his mom and said again, “But” his mom warned, “she will get mad…” Edwin sigh as he realized there is no way out.. he nod lightly, he sat there waiting, he hoped he didn’t have to wait for long … his mom smiled and touched his shoulder, “I know she will do fine… Alisa is strong…”  Edwin’s nods but his inner self was never at rest, he just wanted to do something to ease her pain.. he knew she was going through pain…    His mind was never resting, Edwin wanted to see her, his heart was never at rest. He just said to assure himself , “I hope that she is ok and the baby……” Edwin sat there nervous, his feet were tapping on themselves.. his worry was eating him alive..… he wanted to all of this happen soon, so it won’t hurt her, and the baby will be out healthy.…he  was excited to see the baby… he was overwhelmed with feelings…     Edwin was waiting for an hour already he was getting impatient, he was looking at the close door multiple time.. he looked at his watch again and looked at the closed door…. He thought to himself why was it talking so long,, was she ok?… his head was busting , Edwin’s dad kept his hand on Edwin’s shoulder and said, “everything I going to be fine… just trust in god..” Edwin just nod but his mind was never at rest, he looked at his watch again and again, he hoped that he will get a news soon.. the good news that Alisa and the baby was fine…      He saw Tina walking in with Ken, Shane was also with them. Tina practically ran in, this time she was faster than Ken… Tina asked being impatient, “is the baby out yet?” this made Edwin even more worried. Edwin’s mom said, “No… not yet..” Tina nodded and then took a seat close to Edwin’s mom. Edwin’s mom was reassuring  Tina that her friend is going to be completely fine… and there is nothing to worry…    Edwin’s mom asked, “Where are the babies? You left them alone?” Edwin’s mom looked at Ken and then Tina, they came here without their kids….    Tina waved her hand saying nothing to worry, but by Edwin’ s mom’s expression she understood she need to tell the exact situation.. Tina said explaining, “they are home.. actually my mom is talking care of them…” Edwin didn’t care about any of this.. he just wanted this waiting and worry to end…..Edwin saw the doctor walking out, Edwin went to the doctor as if his life was at risk.. maybe it was….. the doctor greeted Edwin in his shock to see the king…      Edwin asked, “how is she?” the doctor looked at all of those weird look, the entire royal family was there.. the doctor pulled himself together  and then said, “Queen is fine.. the baby is also in good condition.. it’s a healthy boy..” Edwin’s mom smiled in instant, Tina almost jumped as she screamed, she was happy through her whole body… and Edwin has this blank but relaxed face.. he looked around and  he a smile creeps on his face and he then looked at his mom dad and this couple was hugging each other.. while Shane was just cheering with Tina, they were going wild.. Ken had to remind them that they were in hospital…. All of them awkwardly maintained their excitation and were trying to keep up with this happiness…      Edwin just hugged his mom like a kid, he was so happy that he didn’t though much, he was just happy… while Edwin’s mom was laughing and  she  said, “congrats son…. Congrats!”  she rubs his back and Edwin’s father added, “we have a baby!... we are grandparents what can be more precious than this….” Edwin’s smiled and nodded…. Edwin said, “I need to see her” Both of his parents nodded as they hugged each other….    Soon, Edwin found himself walking in this VIP ward, he was nervous.. really nervous but he maintained his character and walks in , he noticed Alisa was sleeping there, her face was relaxed and she did looked bit tired... and the baby was in the crib. Edwin got into tears even before seeing the baby or her face clearly… he walked further without thinking much and the whole family followed Edwin… As Alisa heard these people walk in, she opened her eyes and looked at them with a smile, she was happy to see them  and was excited to know there reactions when they sees the baby.. she already had her first moment with baby, and she was still in happiness of it, she was sure she will remember this moment forever. She smiled at Edwin reassuring his worried, like she was saying through her smile that she was fine..… Edwin just rushed to her as he saw her smile and hugged her, he said, “I love you..” he kissed her forehead and hugged her more…  she smiled at him and whispered, “Me too..” at this moment they both didn’t care about the eyes on them.. she smiled in his arms and she was happy….     Tina was already standing by the baby, and smiling like crazy…. Everyone can tell Tina was the most excited one or she was just loud like always… Tina  turned to Alisa  and said, “he is more cute than Sofia… I want to hold him…” she then walked to Alisa who was smiling,  Tina said, “But I know King has the right to hold his baby… I am waiting do it fast…” she whined… Tina hugged Alisa and said, “you did well… I want to hold him.. come on King take your turn..” Edwin looked at Alisa who nodded as he looked at her.. she was reassuring him… Edwin walks to the baby with heart filled with emotions that he never knew…     Edwin’s mom who was already caressing Alisa’s forehead said, “No… it’s turn of grandma.. that’s me…” Edwin looked at his mom and smiled, he then asked Alisa, “Are you really ok?” she nodded…    Edwin said to his mom, “GO.. take your grandson in your arms and love him.” Edwin’s mom smiled more.. now she walks to the baby all excited… like every moment was ticking into a new feeling……     Edwin’s mom took the baby in her hand and she couldn’t help but smile, she was crying through tears, but all of that was through happiness.. she didn’t minded to cry, she was so happy that she can win the world. Alisa said as she saw Edwin mom crying and looking at the baby, “mom.. please don’t cry…” Edwin’s smiled and sad though tears and said, “I can’t help it… he is so beautiful…. Thank you Alisa… I am really thankful”…. Alisa could just smile…. Edwin’s dad was rubbing her shoulder.. Edwin’s dad said, “don’t cry… or little Prince will be scared of your face…” Everyone chuckled… Edwin’s mom glared at her husband and said, “don’t disturb my grandson and me..”  these old couple really know how to comfort and love each other…. Alisa looked down as she tried to hid her smile…Edwin’s mom walked to Alisa and gave her the baby saying, “thank you…” Alisa looked at her little Prince who was in sleep missing all these emotional moment.. and even if he was awake he would not understand…   Alisa was looked at the baby, her smile was never leaving her lips and the pain that she felt just vanished…. Like it all doesn’t matter… all that matters is her little son being near him… Edwin touched the babies hand and his tear fall… Edwin felt this love for the baby which he saw for the first time, Alisa wiped Edwin’s tear, she knew he was sensitive few times despite his regular cold nature,, he was expressive towards his family……..Edwin kissed the babies forehead and then said with a smile, “Welcome…” then he said with a chuckle, “you troubled my wife a lot…. do you need a punishment..” everyone chuckled and so did he but we felt like he can cross the word for this child which is just born…. He loves her more every second he sees her.. his little boy was finally near him with his wife…     Tina said as she was teasing, “well.. Prince is forgiven since he is too cute to be angry..” Alisa knew this was true.. the Prince is too cute to be mad on…     Edwin kissed Alisa’s forehead and said, “I love you more than anything…thank you for giving me this happiness….” she touched his face and said back, “me too….I am thankful to have him (looks at the baby) and I love you  too…” she touched babies cheeks gently as she herself feared she that she will hurt him…    The baby was sleeping peacefully, Tina coughed and said, “Come on.. I am waiting.. I am waiting for my turn…” Alisa chuckled through tears, she passed the baby to Edwin.. Edwin took the baby in his arms. he tried to as gentle as possible, he never ever had carried any baby in his arms.. and he wanted to be gentle with is child, he though what if he hurts the baby but some how gain the courage to take the baby in his arms and looked at his mom and Dad and said to the baby, “you mom and I will be the better parents than your grandparents..” Edwin’s mom face turned in anger.. she glared at Edwin and wanted to slap her son.. she believed she was good mom.. she is a good mom.. she just strict, but that’s ok…    Edwin’s mom said glaring at Edwin, “I won’t hesitate to hit you in front of your son….. I will slap you till you know how to talk to your mom..” Alisa was just smiling at them… Edwin’s father was chuckling at his wife but once he met her glaring eyes he went silent to hide his laugh…     Edwin’s dad asked trying to change the subject, “so… Queen, what is the Prince called?” Edwin looked at her, she was looking at him for permission.. Edwin said, “I will be ok with anything” Alisa smiled,, she was somehow excited to see all these people waiting for her to decide the name but she was ready and already came up with a name..    She grabbed the hand of the baby lightly, she kissed his hands lightly and she  said,  “Ernest” Edwin looked at her as she named him after Edwin’s name… he smiled at her, he was touched to be exact.. although he wanted to name Ernest after Alisa but he was ok with whatever she likes.… Alisa heard Edwin’s mom saying, “Oh.. Ernest… wow.. this suits my little grandson….”     Tina came in front to take the baby in her arms and she  said, “Ernest… not it’s my turn… you made Aunt wait too long” she was beyond excited, it’s like she saw a baby for the first time but she clearly not.. Edwin gave her baby carefully, he was cautious with the baby like he didn’t trust anyone and he  said, “Be careful…. He..is too small..” he was supper careful and almost warning Tina… Tina got little offended, she looked at Edwin dramatically..     Tina said as she had the baby in her arms and still shining with her attitude, “Well Mr. King I have 2 babies… I am an expert.. I am good mother” she was showing off.. Alisa just chuckled and then she said, “Well you are… where do you left your babies..”  Alisa’s eyes were searching for Noel and baby Sofia…    Ken who was sitting there with Shane said, “Her mom… she just gave her the kids and said take care of them or whatever… whatever she said whatever” Everyone chuckled, Tina glared at Ken silently, well Ken was in problem .. Shane walked to the baby all excited, he was barely able to hold it all in… he looked at the baby who was in Tina’s arm, Tina showed the baby with proud, well the baby was too sure to be exact… Shane said, “Wow… he looks so cute that anyone could die… ” after few second of observing the baby Shane said, “Look he has King’s hairs…. And eyes?... he is sleeping.. I can wait..” Alisa just chuckled..     Alisa said as she took Edwin’s hand in his, “Blue eyes.. just like Edwin… that’s why he is Ernest…” Edwin nodded in proud, he already feels proud about his son..… Edwin’s mom excused herself as  she pulled the phone and said, “I will inform everyone of the family….”  As Edwin’s mom turned to the door, she frozen, she saw Edwin’s grandfather.. the old man looked angry.. everyone went silent.. the old man was not informed about this whole day and somehow he got to knew and rushed to the hospital… he was mad at his daughter and everyone of the family, he wanted to be at the hospital in his great grandson’s birth..     He asked Edwin’s mom, “Why was I not inform about this? you came to hospital alone informing the staff not to tell them… did you forgot I am your father, you can’t hide this from me… ” Alisa was frozen, she feared the old man will be super angry and she turned to Edwin in worry, Edwin whispered in her ear, “the old man is being dramatic… it’s normal” she didn’t wanted to believe in Edwin but she somehow believed in him…    Edwin’s mom folded her hand around her chest, and suddenly she became the boss. … she was in her original character and she said narrowing her eyes at her father, “You have a blood pressure problem… I didn’t wanted you not to  worry.. and I was going to inform you, father… now look at that baby,,, it’s there… stop being salty” the old man nodded as he listens his daughters words and the old man walked to Tina, Tina showed him the sleeping the sleeping baby… the old man smiled..      Tina said to old man, “Prince Ernest… how do you feel? Great grandchild, huu?” the old man just smiled and said, “happiest… he is so pretty…” Alisa smiled, so the old man got a weakness today…. Or a adorable present…  whatever it is he likes it for sure…   She couldn’t wait to let her parents meet the baby….Ernest Gray…
