Chapter Twenty-Six: Visiting the filming set

Saturday, March 14, 20XX Luke and Clair along with Yaci arrived at the set where ‘The gap between us’ was being filmed. They came inside and met with Jennifer Denis the female lead of the film. As soon as Yaci saw Jennefir she paused and let the siblings greet her first. She greeted her politly like always but she wasn’t overly friendly like Clair and Luke were. The reason she was very reluctant to come was because of this woman. She and Lukas previously had misunderstanding and this woman was too playful to take anything seriously. Although Yaci didn’t mind much it still made her umcomfortable. Anyway that’s a story for another time. Clair took a look at the beautiful blonde woman with brown eyes. She then glanced at Yaci and Lukes she heaved a long sigh and walked past them. “Yo, I don’t have all day let’s go!” She ordered them and headed inside the room where the cast,director and crew were waiting for them. Jennifer grinned.” Let’s go Clair I’m sure you will love how everything turned out!” Jennefir told her confidentadly. They went past a few halls and groups of people taking out props. When they arrived at their destination everyone was already whispering and lined up to greet their CEO. The whispers disappeared and the room turned quiet. After scanning the small crowd Clair glanced at the set and was satusfied by what she saw. They had set up everything excetly how she described it in her book and they were able to capture the imgage she had imagine while she wrote the scene. The director came foward and gave Clair a bow. “Miss Yves it’s an honor to have you here.” He told her and extended his hand to shake hers. Clair gave him a nod and politly refused his hand. From the corner of her eyes she was looking at Emma. She almost laughed at the pale face she had on. The director was confused and he broke into a cold sweat. He misunderstood Clair and was already imagining his funeral. Noticing the director’s reaction everyone else froze. Clair lifted her hand and waved towards Emma’s direction. “Hello!” She said and the room fell quiet. They all looked at Emma in shock. What? First the female lead knows their CEO but now the second lead too? How? “Excuseme me for asking but does our CEO know our second lead?” The director asked and Genesis. Emma only stood there akwardly and she was reluctant when the director called her foward. He asked her come and greet their CEO. All the arrogance she had before disappeared into thin air and all she had towards Clair was fear. She stood stiffly under Clair’s stare and she could feel that her legs would give up soon. “Ahem, I’ll lead you guys to your seats.” Jennifer interupted the seilenece. Phew! Emma felt relieved. “You can continue working as if I’m not even here.” Clair told the director and walked away with Jennifer. Yaci folled after Clair and Luke sighed. They all sat down together in the high hairs that had their names on it. Jennifer made her self comfortable next to Clair and whispered in her ear, “Are you bullying Emma?” “I’m not.” Jennifer chuckled. “I’m your best friend Clair. If you want to bully someone I will gladly help. Don’t be shy to tell me.” *
