Chapter 63: The Administrator Showed Up
The screen was flooded by all kinds of comments. Many viewers had bought special effect comments in order to draw Yu Jinli’s attention.
Even so, comments disappeared quickly, for new ones came nonstop, which showed how enthusiastic those viewers were.
Zhang Xiaojie was also watching. Originally, he joined the live-stream because he wanted to talked with Yu Jinli about signing a contract.
Ever since he got this important task from his boss, Zhang Xiaojie had tried his best to get in touch with Yu Jinli but failed.
When a steamer registered, he could choose not to give his personal information. But if a steamer wanted a share of the reward, he had to sign live-stream website and provide his personal information.
Therefore, a steamer would normally fill in his personal information at the registration step to avoid future troubles.
When Yu Jinli registered, he did fill in his personal information. But it was his personal information in his previous world. He had totally forgot that he was a different person now.
Certainly, Zhang Xiaojie wouldn’t be able to find Yu Jinli through that information.
Besides, Jiang Family’s protection over Yu Jinli made it impossible for Zhang Xiaojie to conduct a private investigation so waiting in the live-stream room for Yu Jinli was all he was left to do.
Zhang Xiaojie was ready as soon as Yu Jinli started live-stream. However, out of Zhang Xiaojie’s expectation, Yu Jinli had turned on the hologram mode which drew all his attention instantly. Same as other viewers, now Zhang Xiaojie was expecting the dishes to be finished.
After having a bite of the first dish, Zhang Xiaojie wished he could swallow his tongue as well. Was there really something as good as this?
He was determined to work hard and make a lot of money so that he could have natural food in the future.
Now the biggest challenge he had was to sign Yu Jinli. His promotion might depend on this.
Struggling to control himself, reluctantly, Zhang Xiaojie turned his attention from those dishes to the person that was making them. Then, taking advantage of his position as an administrator, he posted an announcement so that everyone could see it at a glance.
[Star Origin Administrator: Dear steamer - I am a Koi Fish, nice to meet you. I’m an administrator of Star Origin Live-Stream. We want to invite you to join Star Origin and become an exclusive steamer. May I have a private chat with you?]
As soon as the announcement was up, before Yu Jinli realized what happened, the viewers exploded.
[An administrator! He wants to sign our steamer koi! I just want to say, well done, administrator! Please sign steamer koi as soon as possible. Steamer koi is brilliant.]
[Aw... an administrator! Seems that our steamer koi is held as an important figure. Just agree, steamer koi.]
Comments came nonstop. Apparently, the appearance of an administrator lightened this live-stream up.
Generally, live-stream websites only allocated administrators to big name steamers to help keep live-stream in order and manage viewers.
New steamers like Yu Jinli were usually left on their own. If a steamer wanted a contract, he would go to an administrator.
This time an administrator appeared in the live-stream which was only seen in live-stream of celebrity steamers. However, Yu Jinli’s viewers didn’t seem surprised, instead, they thought it was very reasonable.
Though their steamer koi had simply live-streamed three times, his popularity spoke for his great potential. It would be the loss of the live-stream website if it didn’t extend its hand to such a steamer.
Yu Jinli was a bit confused after he read the message from the administrator. He didn’t know the guy, nor did he know what an exclusive steamer was. He understood “We want to invite you to join Star Origin” but didn’t know why that was brought up.
Wasn’t he live-streaming on Star Origin?
“I already joined Star Origin,” said Yu Jinli in confusion. However, it didn’t affect what he was doing. In order to let everyone have dinner sooner, he sped up more.
Soon, the second and third dishes were finished. Zhang Xiaojie’s attention again turned to the delicious food. He almost forgot what he was here for.
[Star Origin Administrator: Let me explain it to you. I’ve watched your first two live-streams. Your content is very novel so we hope that you’ll keep live-streaming on Star Origin. Sure, we’ll give you the best deal. May I have a private chat with you?]
While holding back the strong urge to taste the new dishes, Zhang Xiaojie typed painfully, forcing himself to focus on the screen in front of him. However, involuntarily his eyes drifted towards the place where the fragrance came from.
Of all the live-streams he had ever watched, none was more tormenting than this one. Besides, haven’t got the steamer to sign so far made him feel that today was simply not his lucky day.
Basically, no steamers would refuse when they heard that they could sign a good deal, especially not new steamers. Even though Star Origin was new, it had a strong background with financial strength and would definitely develop quickly.
Even if the steamers had concerns, they would at least agree to chat with him privately and learn more about the deal.
This being the case, Zhang Xiaojie wanted to sign Yu Jinli more. If he could sign this steamer with such a potential, he would be responsible for the administration of this live-stream room. He firmly believed that this live-stream would become the most important asset of Star Origin in the future.
Yu Jinli’s mind wasn’t on the administrator’s words at all. Because there was a guest tonight, he just wanted to finish cooking as soon as possible. He couldn’t let the guest wait. That brought about Zhang Xiaojie’s tragedy.
“I have a guest today so I’m quicker than usual. I’ve finished all the dishes. See you tomorrow, everyone.” Waving his hands smilingly, Yu Jinli didn’t give Zhang Xiaojie any time to react and left the live-stream.
Zhang Xiaojie: “...”
[Hah hah, poor administrator, streamer koi simply left. I feel sorry for you but I still want to laugh.]
[Hah hah hah hah... Lmao. Clearly streamer koi hasn’t figured out what it means to sign a live-stream website. He thought he already signed a deal. So cute! Administrator, don’t give up. Keep streamer koi at Star Origin. He brings good fortune wherever he is. He is going to bring good luck to your website!]
[Am I the only one that noticed streamer koi said he had guest over? I wonder who is so lucky to be able to have his cooking. I’m so jealous! I want to be that person! It’ll do even if I only get one bite!]
[Same here.]
Yu Jinli had no idea that his live-stream room remained lively after he left, with viewers who felt sorry for the administrator and jealous of the guest who was lucky enough to have the food he cooked.
Reading all the comments on the screen silently, Jiang Mosheng turned it off calmly. Having dressed up, he went downstairs.
The guest sure was lucky. Jiang Mosheng hadn’t even tasted the dishes little chestnut made yet while that cheeky guy stayed for dinner.
When Jiang Mosheng appeared at the dining room, everyone was stunned.
Qiao Mulan was first shocked then surprised.
“Ah Sheng, you can get out of bed now?” Seeing that her son seemed well, she asked happily.
After Shen Qian’s check, she knew Jiang Mosheng was getting better but she still felt as if she was in a dream. Now she saw her son out of bed, she was so surprised that she didn’t know what else to say.
Her son wasn’t going to leave her. He was getting better. So was Jiang Family. Everything was heading to a bright tomorrow.
The person that she was most thankful for was Yu Jinli. Ever since Yu Jinli was here, everything changed for the better. He was like a lucky star to her family.
“I’m alright.” Jiang Mosheng assured Qiao Mulan.
Shen Qian looked at Jiang Mosheng as if he saw a monster. Though he knew Jiang Mosheng had a strong physique with a certain level of healing power, he didn’t expect him to be this powerful, who had made it through all difficulties after being sanctioned as a dying man by doctors of the Federation.
Though there was still toxin in Jiang Mosheng’s body, he was getting better and could get out of bed now.
It was said that a scourge remained forever. Even hell didn’t want such a cold-hearted man of war.
Calmly, Jiang Mosheng threw Shen Qian a glance with obvious dislike which irritated Shen Qian who wished he could have a fight with Jiang Mosheng right now.
If Shen Qian wasn’t generous and tolerant, he would have beaten Jiang Mosheng up when he was at his weakest to make up for all the beatings he got from Jiang Mosheng in the past.
As the two was in an eye fight, dishes that smelled delicious were brought out from the kitchen which drew everyone’s attention immediately.
“It smells so good, Aunt Qiao. Your chef is amazing. I haven’t smelled anything as good as this before.” Sniffing greedily, Shen Qian wanted to take in all that good smell.
Even though Qiao Mulan didn’t cook, she felt proud for Yu Jinli when she heard Shen Qian’s praise.
All the dishes were made by her son-in-law!
“It was little chestnut who cooked all these dishes. Eat as much as you want,” said Qiao Mulan proudly.
Nobody could refuse little chestnut’s cooking.
With his attention on the dishes, Shen Qian was more surprised to learn that Yu Jinli cooked them.
However, he didn’t have time to dwell on that since the dishes not only smelled good, but also looked delicious.
Looking at all the nice dishes in front of him, Jiang Mosheng felt proud as well.
Though he had been watching Yu Jinli cook through live-stream and witnessing all the dishes come into being, it was different to see them in real life.
In the hologram mode, one could smell even taste a dish, but it was nowhere near as good as what it was in reality.
He was way luckier than those viewers for he could eat the food little chestnut cooked while those viewers could do nothing except commenting.
“All the dishes are here. Let’s eat.” Qiao Mulan said to Shen Qian smilingly.
She was in a good mood since her son had got out of bed today. Smile never left her face through dinner.
