Chapter 58 I Promise You
Harry would not explain further about the situation. Even if Lulu pretended to cry, he still did not say anymore.
Finally, Lulu ran back to her bedroom angrily. Harry chased her to the door and coaxed her for a long time, but she still did not open the door for him.
Harry had to give up temporarily. As he was about to leave, he realized that Lucca was standing behind him. He was staring at him with dark eyes.
"Is what you said true?" Lucca asked him without any expression.
Every time Harry met Lucca’s eyes, he would feel guilty. He smiled bitterly and said, "You can take it as a lie."
Lucca nodded and said in a calm voice, "If that’s the case, mommy still loves dad so much since she is so sad."
"She doesn’t love him!" Harry immediately retorted with his tone out of control. "She just hates him!"
Lucca looked at Harry calmly, "I don’t believe it. I know what you think about my mommy. So, I have a reason to believe that you are deliberately damaging the relationship between us and dad."
Harry raised his eyebrows. He knew that Lucca was deliberately provoking him, but he still couldn’t help but feel emotional.
"Do you know what your father did to your mother today?" Harry squatted down, The gentleness in his eyes faded away bit by bit, revealing his true self. "He cruely bullied your mother in front of my family."
Lucca narrowed his eyes and retorted, "Impossible!"
Harry sneered, "You may not believe me, but it doesn’t change the fact that your biological father is a b*stard."
After saying that, Harry returned to his room.
Lucca stood alone in the corridor with his eyes wide open, standing still for a long time.
......
Lesly took a long shower, and her skin turned slightly red. Then, she changed into her pajamas and came out.
Someone knocked on her bedroom door.
"Mommy, can I come in?" Lucca asked outside the door.
"Sure." Lesly hurriedly opened the door. "What’s wrong, Lucca?"
Lucca looked at Lesly and did not speak. He entered Lesly’s bedroom and sat down on the sofa.
"What’s wrong?" Lesly saw that he was in a bad mood and hurriedly held Lucca in her arms. "Did anyone bully you?"
"Mommy, I want to grow up soon." Lucca leaned against Lesly’s shoulder. "It’s best if I can grow up tomorrow."
Lesly smiled and said, "What’s wrong with you? Why are you suddenly saying that?"
Lucca was mature and rarely spoke childish words.
"Because I want to protect Mommy." Lucca hugged Lesly’s waist tightly. "When I grow up, I can make a lot of money so that you don’t have to go out to work. That way, you won’t be bullied."
Lesly’s eyes turned red. She kissed Lucca’s head and said softly, "But I don’t want Lucca to grow up so fast. Life is very short. I want you to grow slowly and steadily so that I can remember every moment of your life."
She held Lucca’s face and smiled.
"I’m fine. It’s just a small setback. I’m not that weak." She caressed Lucca’s face. "Don’t worry, okay?"
Lucca nodded and hugged Lesly’s neck. He said seriously, "Can we just live with you in the future? I don’t want a dad, regardless of whether we are close or not."
Lesly coaxed him, "Okay, I promise you."
"If you can’t do it, I won’t live past 18." Lucca’s words shocked Lesly greatly.
"What nonsense are you saying? Don’t make such a joke. Take it back!"
"No." Lucca’s eyes were firm and particularly serious, "Only this way will you take the promise seriously, isn’t it?"
Lesly was stunned. Lucca lowered his head and said softly, "So, consider it for my life. Mommy, you must not marry anyone else, especially that person, okay?"
That person was naturally Gavin.
Lesly was speechless.
"Okay, mommy?" Lucca asked as if she had to give an answer.
"Okay." Lesly finally agreed. "I promise you."
