Chapter 75 Her past 3

After breakfast Shriya and Manvi moved to Shriya’s room after sending Preeti to sleep. They sat on the bed and started talking about all the irrelevant matters because they met after a few days gap. But Shriya was not interested in the talk as she was thinking about something else. She was thinking about what happened earlier in the dining room. Manvi looked at her and asked "Is something bothering you girl ?" Shriya came back to her senses and she understood that Manvi is looking at her, she thought Manvi must have asked her a question which she did not hear, because it looked like Manvi was expecting some answer from her. She looked confused because she didn’t listen what Manvi was talking about ? Manvi understood that Shriya didn’t listen to her and asked "I asked what is the matter that’s bothering you to this extent?" Shriya shook her head, but Manvi insisted and Shriya said "Abhi told that his mom is sending a girlfriend for him here." Manvi laughed at her and asked "Is a girlfriend a thing or what to send by an expressway ?" "Abhi told himself today morning about it, but from the conversation I understood that the girl coming here has something to do with Rahul." Manvi listened to Shriya carefully and said "Don’t worry, bhai must be teasing Rahul, even if his mom chooses a girl for him, he’ll never accept her" she smiled at her. Just then Shriya got a call from her friend Sony. She enquired why she was not coming to school that day and Shriya told them that she is not feeling well and will be at home that day. * * * * * * Sony felt that the watch has stopped working because she felt like a year has passed in an hour and the remaining time in the college seemed like eternity to her. After continuous classes they entered the cafeteria at lunch and before they could settle down on a table Naveen came and sat on the chair at the same table. He looked different from his usual self. He wore a white v neck t shirt and a black leather jacket paired with black jeans pants. With his white sneakers and a cap over his hair he looked extremely dashing and cool. Sony was shocked because she didn’t expect him there. She thought ’why was he here ?’, but Brahmini was calm and her face was free from any kind of expression or emotion. One couldnot say what she was thinking at that moment. They stood there and seeing Brahmini ignoring him, Sony ignored him too. They sat there and continued to eat their lunch. Naveen sat silently observing Brahmini but she didnot look up to meet his gaze. Sony could feel the tension there and was so anxious to know what was happening there. The curious bug in her brain started to itch and when she was about to ask ’what is happening here ?’ but kept her mouth shut. Brahmini finished her lunch and was packing her lunch box back, Naveen stood up from his chair and both the girls looked up to him. He smiled at Sony and said ’excuse me’, saying this he dragged Brahmini out of the cafeteria by holding her hand. * * * * * Abhi left to his office, he didn’t have a shoot that day so decided to go to his office. Though he planned to stay at home, he thought it’s been a long time since he went to his office and he need to take care of those issues. He had so many things to deal with at his office. He was busy with shooting and not only him, but also Kunal who shares his work was also busy shooting. His Office is in an area which is at the center of the New Mumbai City. It is a four storey building and Abhi’s office is on the second floor while the 1 st floor is Kunal’s office. The third floor is a place where one could take rest, it has so many rooms and a gym and other things in it. The second floor elevator opens a reception area where a modernized wooden desk is present and behind that sat a young lady who looked like she was in her early twenties with a young man sitting beside her. When Abhi entered the reception area both of them stood up, bowed their heads and greeted him ’good morning’ with respect. He nodded his head in reply and entered his office room. The room was big with beautiful interior designing. At the far end of the room was a beautiful white porcelain vase and a has a bunch of fresh tulips in it. One side of the room has floor length windows and they open to the beautiful lawn outside his office. The walls are painted in white and the wall behind the table was painted in grey colour and it has a picture of Abhi when he was receiving the best actor award for the first time. He looked so young back then. All the windows in the room has silver coloured curtains tied on either side of them which allowed sun light to enter the room. Abhi sat on the awesome eye catching leather chair which is behind the glass table. There was a white leather couch on one side and two white stylish chairs on either side with a small glass table in front of the couch. The other end of the room has two to three doors. Abhi placed his bag beside him and the table has so many files over it. Abhi sat in his chair going through the files. When he started working again, he thought of something and called on his intercom. Soon Uday came the room and sat casually on the couch. Abhi asked "why isn’t he here yet ?". Abhi opened his laptop and started working on his laptop. Uday shook his head and said "I think you shouldn’t do this kind of stuff here afterall Shriya might come here any time and not only that this is our address for only discussing story lines and other real Estate issues," he then leaned forward interviewed his fingers with each other and he continued looking towards the floor "Believe me you don’t have to do this anymore and we will take care of it." Abhi looked at Uday and said in a calm expression "Why should we stop doing this, it’s not something illegal or something like that ?".
