Episode-424    Evelyn’s POV:     few days later,    I said on the phone, “Why should I listen to you?.... I said I have an appointment….”   Jean said, “God!!!... this is important, they want to meet you, this project sounds nice….. just come for 15 Minutes…”   I sat in the car as I said, “Nope…. I have appointment with my boyfriend….” I ended the call.  I am internally worried, not about work, but that conversation with Dad was killing me inside…. I want him to apologize to Logan, at least him being nice to Logan.  I turned to Logan and said, “Why aren’t you driving?”  Logan was searching for a song, he nod a he heard me and we drove off. We planned a nice and simple date by a lake near his private property. No reporters… nothing….   I heard him, “should we stop for a coffee?” I nod instantly, he smiled in satisfaction, after getting coffee we were driving for few minutes. I decided to have a sweet nap in the car, just when I was about to close my eyes I saw black cars.    Few cars I will say, Logan slowed our car as these black car were blocking the road. I knew who are they, Logan stopped our car.  I said, “wait here…”  Now my family is doing this, come on… they should grow up.  Logan grabbed my hand and said, “Stay in…. let me handle this.” soon, A man knocked on my window, I lowered it.   I immediately said, “You dare to stop me in middle of the road?”  The man said, “Sorry, your highness.. But we have to follow orders…”  I scoffed in annoyance.   He said, “King asked your presence… immediately…” no way… I am not going!!!    The man said again, “please follow us…”   I was about to scream, Logan said, “It’s ok…. he is just doing his job…” Logan said to them, “I am coming with her….” they left.    Logan just said, “Don’t be scared, I am here.” I know, but…    1 hour later,    I was in palace, Logan stood beside me as he was holding my hand, trying to comfort me. Somehow he knew I was anxious. He stood confident and bolt in front of my 3 brothers. Yes…. they were also here…..   I was getting annoyed by the way they were scanning Logan. I turned to Aaron as I said, “Will you stop?”   Aaron looked away, he said, “You guys can sit, you know no one will punish you…” he joked.   Alexis said, “Cherry, you brought your stuffed animal with you?” My law dropped, I noticed Logan’s irritation on this comment.   Alexis smiled as he said, “It’s little puffed you know… you can keep it on the sofa, and he can let go your hand.”   Aaron was trying to hold his laugh, Brother Ernest looked unbothered as he was still busy with his work… or was he trying to ignore this?   Logan said, “We are good…. and I can hold my girlfriend’s hand… it shouldn’t bother you.” I smirked at Alexis, as I tried to hug Logan’s arm.   I heard Brother Ernest, “It does bother us….” He looked at Logan finally, he added cold, “That’s my sister’s hand…” His eyes rolled to me as he said, “stop squeezing into him, Cherry.” I subconsciously moved a little, I am little scared now. Logan and Ernest brother were basically fighting with their eyes silently.    I heard Alexis breaking the situation, “Anyways why are we here?... does anyone know?”   We all looked at each other clueless. Why are we here?   Few minutes later,    I was so bored as I sat beside Logan. Logan was not bored neither were Alexis and Ernest, they are busy judging each other. Aaron is as confused as ever.   I heard mom’s faint voice, I immediately turned to the them. Mom looks confused as Dad came in with her. I avoided eye contact, I  heard mom, “Oh!..god!... everyone is here…. is this surprise…” she confused more  as she saw Logan beside me.    Dad said, “It’s nothing…. let’s have a seat…”   Dad and mom sat down, but I heard Dad, “I told them to get the Kids, why is Mr. Knight here?”     Dad smirked, I said interrupting, “I wanted him to be with me… I think I can do that….” Dad just gave me a blank look.    Everyone was confused on my defensive attitude, I avoided looking at them.   Mom just said, “Evelyn… why would.. you?” she looked out of words.   I got up as I said, “If there nothing then we will leave…. we have a date….” I can’t talk with Dad right now, and to be honest, everything feels weird… this is not right…. I have to leave with Logan.   Dad warned, “You can’t leave…. until I order….”   I immediately said, “What will you do!... Your Majesty, house arrest me!!!... so I cannot live my life as I want… You cannot do that!!!..”   Brother Ernest said almost screaming, “shut up!.. Are you on drugs!” Dad looked disappointed.   Logan pulled me behind him as he said, “Prince…. regardless her being your sister, you can’t talk to her like that…. she is just not in her mind today.”   I said, “Let’s go…. I know what is all this about…. but King knows my decision….”   Dad said, “I am retiring… and so is your mother…. now you all can leave” Everyone was stunned. this was sudden!   I heard Mom, “retiring?... me?... when?... Edwin, you didn’t asked me?”  Mom doesn’t know?... what the hell is going on?   Ernest said, “Dad…. what?... I am confused…”   I heard Aaron, “this doesn’t sound right…” yea… I thought the same. Alexis is standing like a block of wood.   Dad said to Mom, “It’s you who always talks about all this..” Mom said, “but… this is so… so quick…”  Dad turned to us as said, “I will be doing my King duties since you all are still immature …. but rest of the things are all yours…..  Ken will let you know what you 4 have to do, the business you will take over…”   Alexis grabbed mom’s hand as he said, “Mom…. no…. tell Dad, this joke is not funny.” I just stood there looking at Dad.    Dad said further, “Your Mom and I will be travelling or living somewhere else….. So, yea…. we are leaving our parents duty too, Do not disturb us…. So now… everyone had their life to themselves…. No one is controlling them.” Dad looked at me…..  Mom immediately said, “wait… what…..”  Dad stood cold as he said, “They are grown up Alisa…. they don’t need their parents…. And now it’s our chance to enjoy…. Kids we are leaving right now.” Dad grabbed Mom’s hand, they walked out of the room. I heard them, “The jet is waiting…. we are going to love our time…”    Is this because of me? Next day,      Jean is driving to Mom’s office, but maybe now mine. I am staring at my phone thinking what will I say if I called my parents. I am so uneasy by this sudden retirement that I can’t even think properly.   I sighed as I kept my phone in my bag, this is useless. I can’t understand the reason for all of this. Did I hurt Dad with my rude words? Did I went too far?      They really left us?
