The Antidote Is Real
Bob woke up but saw a completely unfamiliar environment. He was so scared that he broke out in cold sweat as soon as he turned to see Nyla drinking yogurt.
"Why am I here?"
"Come on, Bob, are you confused after a nap? Have you been staying up late recently? Don’t meddle in other people’s business anymore if you are so tired, okay?"
Hearing this, Bob remembered that he was about to look for Kiera and pay Nyla to make clothes.
He really just wanted to help Nyla but didn’t expect her to be so intelligent to tail Kiera and know everything.
"So, did I come here to talk about the clothes with you?"
Nyla shrugged. "Do you think we have anything else to talk about?"
Bob suddenly felt very upset as everything had been very weird. It seemed that he had something else to talk about with Nyla but could not remember what it was.
"Alright, don’t waste time. You and Nydia are about to get engaged. How can you sneak off to visit me and help me? Besides, in my eyes, your actions are giving me charity. I don’t need it!"
Nyla was very determined.
He knew she had high self-esteem, and he couldn’t do this kind of thing. "I don’t mean anything else. I’m just worried about you. You are a girl living alone. And you and your family..."
"Are you afraid that I will starve?" She interrupted Bob, "Don’t worry, I will definitely have a better life than your fiancée. Go back. I have to work."
Bob didn’t dare to stay after being chased away. He stood up and said, "Nyla, I still think..."
"Don’t persuade me to go home. Be careful that I will slap you on your face." Nyla interrupted him directly.
Bob really had nothing to say.
Looking at Nyla, he always felt that he had a lot of words to say, but he didn’t know how to say them with his mouth open slightly.
"I’m leaving. Take care of yourself." This was what he wanted to say, but he didn’t say it.
After walking out of Nyla’s apartment, Bob patted his head and felt that he had forgotten something.
Perhaps he had been too tired in the past few days. How could he fall asleep in Nyla’s apartment? It really shouldn’t be!
Nyla sat on her sofa, unaware of the tears that flowed down the corners of her eyes.
This was her own choice, right?
She didn’t ask if Bob liked her in time.
However, it was not too bad. If Bob really liked her, maybe she would stop doing hypnosis to erase that memory for him.
"Don’t worry. I will treasure this memory."
At the hospital.
When Swedum woke up today, he vomited blood again. The doctor immediately rescued him and saved his life again, but he had to stay in the intensive care unit from today onwards.
Johny looked through the glass window of the intensive care unit, feeling so sad and sorry.
The doctor came over and patted Johny’s shoulder. "Mr. Johny, we still have to tell you about your son’s situation."
"Go ahead."
"As you can see, his condition is getting worse. We have never seen this kind of poison before. We have already extracted the blood in his body to cultivate and then experiment with it, but it is going very slowly. A dozen drugs have confirmed no effect. Some drugs need a long time to experiment."
The doctor said such unnecessary words. In fact, he actually didn’t know how to say it.
"You only need to tell me how long he has left."
Johny tried to calm down.
"Maybe he only has half a month if we still can’t find any effective drugs."
The doctor’s words shocked Johny.
Half a month? Would Swedum die in half a month?
He was still a kid, more than four years old!
"I understand." Johny suppressed his grief and shock.
"Mr. Johny, we have the same opinion in the meeting that we must find the poisoner as soon as possible and understand what the poison is. It is best to get the antidote together. Although medicine is very developed now, it requires a lot of time to experiment when we are facing unknown things. Even if we can develop an antidote, your son can’t wait."
"I understand."
The doctor went to work again.
Looking at Swedum through the glass window, Johny extended his finger to paint Swedum’s outline on the glass.
He would definitely save his son.
Ben came over to tell Johny that Zara was looking for him.
"What is she doing here?" Johny walked out suspiciously and met Zara in his office.
Zara still looked graceful and elegant with bright red lips, which looked like she had drunk blood. How terrifying it was.
"It’s been a long time."
Johny snorted coldly before replying, "Don’t you know everything I am doing even though you don’t meet me? What’s the difference between seeing and not seeing?"
"Oh." Zara chuckled.
"What is the matter?"
"I brought you good news. I know that your son is poisoned. I happen to have a bottle of antidote."
He frowned slightly. Kirs was the poisoner. How could Zara have the antidote?
This did not make sense.
"How did you get the antidote?"
"What a coincidence. I accidentally got it before hearing about your son’s condition. I felt it was very similar to the poison my antidote could cure. As your stepmother, I treat you very well, right?"
Johny’s deep eyes were full of doubt!
"This is not all of the antidotes. I know you won’t believe me. Take it and have a try. If it works, come to me again. If it doesn’t work, you can forget that I have come to you."
After putting a small white bottle on the table, Zara left directly.
Johny walked over to take it, staring at it.
Swedum had become like this. How about having a try?
Johny quickly handed the small white bottle to the doctor and told him to experiment with it.
What Johny could do was to wait.
Soon, a result came. The doctor excitedly took the experimental data to Johny. "Mr. Johny, this is indeed the antidote!"
"Is it effective?"
"Yes! We fused it with your son’s blood. The blood was immediately purified!" The doctor seemed very excited. "After so long of research, we finally got this result, but it was only enough for an experiment. Even if there were some left, it might take a month to analyze and create the exact same medicine."
Swedum could not afford to wait.
Johny had no choice but to come to see Zara again.
